Property Description
Greensprings Plantation is built on land that was part of a colonial plantation, Green Spring. The plantation was home of Sir William Berkeley, Royal Governor of the Virginia colony. During the civil war, the house was torched by union troops. Thus, today, the brick foundation of the mansion now rests beneath ground that is included on the National Register of Historic Places. Nearby are many of Williamsburgs renowned attractions, including the Historic Triangle of Jamestown Settlement, York town Battlefield and Colonial Williamsburg. Busch Gardens, Water Country USA and a superb selection of famous outlet and specialty shops as well as dining of all kinds.     From EAST (Norfolk/Hampton): I-64 West to exit 242A (Jamestown/Route 199 West). Follow Route 199 West for 5.5 miles to the 5th traffic light. Turn left at the stoplight and travel West on Route 5 for 3 miles to the 3rd traffic light. Turn right onto Greensprings Plantation Drive. The entrance to the resort is the 2nd right (a continuation of Grennsprings Plantation Drive). The security gate is located less than 1 miles ahead.From WEST (Richmond): I-64 to exit 234 (Route 199 East). Follow Route 199 East approximately 8 miles to Route 5 (1st traffic light). Turn right at the traffic light and travel West on Route 5 for 3 miles ot the 3rd traffic light. Turn right onto Greensprings Plantation Drive. The entrance to the resort is the 2nd right (a continuation of Grennsprings Plantation Drive). The security gate is located less than 1 miles ahead. PHF
